I remember all my school essays had this one line, “Man is a social animal” – I never understood what it meant those days. Even now I find it absurd that I used to write this one line, in almost all the essays, just to fill up space, because I couldn’t get any ideas to fill the page! Of course that explains why I didn’t score well in my English essays!
But, come to think of it, it is a very profound statement – We are all social animals. We are shaped and bound by people and values imparted by people who inspire us with their actions, or inspire us to action.
This page will talk about all those people who have impacted me positively, either in person, or with their work – This includes leaders, peers, people who’ve earned my faith and respect by just being what they are, and ordinary folks who make the world a better place.
Every week, I intend to talk about those who, with their indomitable human spirit have made a difference to their immediate communities, to their region, their nation or to the world.
I hope they inspire you to give your best, too.
